Changing Your Student Home

Moving between a shared flat, rented room or another address? List your own belongings and check access at both properties, including stairs and loading locations.

Moving Home After Term

Plan the journey from your accommodation to your home address. Count everything you are taking and allow time for packing, room checks and returning your keys.

Pack your room.
Prepare your arrival.

Your moving arrangements should fit around accommodation checkout and access to your next room. A little preparation helps avoid last-minute changes.

  1. Pack for the Journey

Use sturdy boxes and secure loose belongings. Label each box, protect fragile items and keep box weights manageable. Tell us in advance if you need packing assistance.

  2. Keep Essentials With You

Carry your identification, keys, medicines and valuables yourself. Keep chargers and anything needed on arrival in a separate bag that you can easily reach.

  3. Confirm Building Access

Check any arrival slots, lift arrangements and reception opening times. Explain where the van can load and how far your room is from the entrance.

questions, answered.

Useful details for packing, shared loads and access to your accommodation.

Can you move just boxes and suitcases?

Yes, subject to availability. Include the number and approximate size of your boxes, suitcases and other belongings. Tell us about any unusually heavy or fragile items so the transport and handling requirements can be assessed.

Can you collect from student accommodation?

We can assess collections and deliveries where suitable access is available. Confirm any building rules, booking slots, reception arrangements and loading restrictions before booking. Someone must be available to provide access.

Can I combine my move with a flatmate’s belongings?

Contact us before booking to discuss a combined load. Include everyone’s items and all collection and delivery addresses. Extra stops, a larger load or additional handling can affect the arrangements and price.

Do you provide boxes or packing help?

Packing assistance and materials are included only when expressly agreed. Tell us what you need before booking so availability, the scope of the work and any additional charges can be confirmed.

Can I travel in the van?

Do not assume passenger travel is included. Arrange your own journey unless passenger arrangements have been expressly confirmed with us before booking.

Can you move my belongings outside the Glasgow area?

We can assess journeys to and from Rutherglen across Scotland and the UK, subject to availability. Provide both addresses, your inventory and preferred date to check the arrangements.
